Question to Jhead nozzle users
June 07, 2012 12:17PM
Hi,

I'm new to 3D printing. I'm building a new printer with aluminium profiles (in french [www.equinoxefr.org])

My printer use a JHEAD MK IV nozzle with 3mm PLA filament.

How fast can you extrude a 3mm filament with a Jhead nozzle ?

With speed above 15mm/s, my bolt drive eat filament :-(

Perhaps i don't have made a good bolt but i need to know maximum extrusion speed with jhead nozzle.

Thank's for your help

Pierre

Hello,

Speeds up to 140mm/sec are common.

Hi,

After few days of research, i found a little piece of plastic (PEHD ?) in my jhead body. It was blocking the extrusion process. Now everything is OK :-)
