laser engraving

I am looking into laser engraving, could anyone point me in the right direction, I am looking at the engraving as a hobby but would love to earn some extra pennies if possible.

I am looking for a cheap machine to start with, any advice on this would be very appreciated, I will also be looking into where to purchase my items to engrave onto, as well as laser marking sprays for metal.
