Hi guys!!

I work at a photography lab and one of the things we do are acrylic covers with 4mm thickness. We also need to engrave names on it but we are finding it kinda hard to do as we are not being able to get a smooth engrave. Can any of you help us?

You are going to have problems with acrylic that thin. The reason is the type of acrylic. The thin stuff is extruded, while the 3/8" thick and up is cast. The laser will cut the thin stuff, but engraving requires the higher quality cast material
