Caucau inexpensive router spindle for DIY CNC router

Hi,

Just wanted to mention that I received this today:



This is an 850W manual router. The spindle can be detached from the cast metal base and will be used for my future Open Source CNC Wood Router.

It can be purchased directly from the manufacturer: [www.cnc1.eu]

A few more pictures, the last one is the spindle detached from the metal cast base by loosening the nut as indicated:









Now I have to design a clamp/bracket to hold the spindle on the CNC router's Z-axis assembly.

A couple of people have used this w/ a Shapeoko: [www.shapeoko.com]

but most of them have just bought an aluminum mount which is available online.

It'd be great to see plans for a nice mount.

Yes, shapeoko is a good choice.
