Hi all, my first post.
I have converted a minilathe and minimill to CNC and built a small CNC engraving machine from scratch.
I have an idea to convert the engraving machine to a 3D printer but I would like to keep my existing stepper drives that are/were quality industrial units.. I use TURBOCNC, a dos programme on all my machines and it works fine for me but I'm not sure that TURBOCNC would work for a printer?
I have proportional heater controllers and probes and would like to set the temperatures manually rather than through a programme..
Are special interpreters required or would the usual programmes like Turbocnc and Mach3 work?
