Nichrome vs Resistor question

Hi

I was wondering, I have a techzone monolithic electronics set that is shipped to be used with nichrome

What would I have to change, if anything to use a resistor heating method instead?

Thanks

Maybe that wiki will help, even if it's about more than just swaping to a resistor : [reprap.org]

Thanks to Kliment who gave me that link the other day on irc.

From the electronics point of view, a resistor is a resistor. No matter wether it's wire is wound up by yourself of wound up in a factory.

Exactly. As long as the resistance is similar it will work with the electronics.
