Gen6 Electronics pcd build

Hi guys,

Has any one here ever tried soldering a gen 6 pcb board and coming out with some thing that works.
Demand is high for this version of electronics but stock is SO low.

It seems like putting the unit together is one of the only options or go with other electronics.

Good side to it is that it would be significantly cheaper. around £70.

Only problem is that is looks an advanced project to solder.

Any helpers here, I just want to know exactly what I'd be getting my self into from wise people.

Cheers
James

Where is the people asking for gen6? I haven't spotted the high demand to be honest. Also, gen6 is designed for industrial production, and as far as I know, is not easy to DIY. The board is 4 layered (?) and does have a lot of SMD components.

For full DIY it'd be better to go with gen 7, and for premade boards ramps or Sanguinololu would be a better choice.
