Rumba/Taurino USB driver problem [ Virus? ]

I've installed the Rumba/Taurino USB Driver on my Win8.1 machine and within a few minutes the folder-symbols on my desktop grew to insane size.
I could actually watch them flickering and growing.

I have no idea how to shrink them to normal size, because windows still says their size is at 100%. I could make them bigger if I like, but not smaller!

I'll flash marlin to the Rumba and then try to uninstall the USB driver

I don't get it, what would be the reason for an USB driver to change my windows setup? Or was it the download server? I followed the link on the Rumba page in the Wiki...
