Advice on Power Supply DPS-460BB B

Hello,

using this power supply for my i3 Hephestos (+ heated bed + genuine Senco SSR), but it automatically shuts off after like 10 Minutes. I don't think it's because of the temperature of the power supply. I already added a huge heatsink + 120mm Fan to it. However, it still shuts off after a couple minutes. -> [www.ebay.de]

To verify the power supply is not faulty, I bought another one. Exactly the same problem. When it shuts off, I hear a clicking sound inside when I try to turn it on again (some fuse or relay I guess). I am sure its not about heat inside.

Any ideas?

That PSU is designed to have air flow through it, not a bolt on heatsink, so I would certainly say it is most likely to be a heat issue.

The other possibility is a short circuit on the heatbed, but that would cause a shutdown as soon as you switch the heatbed on.

That's probalby right. Just replaced it with a Dell DA-2 and no issues.
