I was using mega on ramps and after a while i noticed the mega's 5voltage regulator beside the 12volt barrel connector was too hot to touch and everything stopped I am using 12 volt -20amp power supply,later i replaced the regulator on mega and connected to pc no heating is observed but I am not able to upload anything on arduino mega.
1) Is the 20Amps the reason for it ?
2) Should i remove the D1 diode on ramps and supply a 5v 1amp saperatly to the mega ?
Please help.
