That looks like the Mantis driver: half step, constant current chosen at build time. It should work on a RepRap, but I don't know how its cost compares to the standard Polulu.

Apparently, the board is isolation-milled. Using GIMP, I've measured a width of just 0.03 mm between tracks in the upper right. Impressive. How does he do this?

BTW., most of the links show some error or login page and with all cyrillic characters, I don't even know what to do to get around this.

0.3mm, not 0.03. Since it's the same photo as on the Mantis site, I'm guessing it was made on a Mantis.
