Actually you can get a very nice touchscreen made for mks sbase but compatible with ramps for 20-30 eurosQuote

The PanelDue screen/interface is way ahead of those other LCD ones.

You can't really use pt100 sensors on duet unless you are a firmware ninja.Quote

I have build a ultimaker clone and wonder what is the best controller?
Like the duet, but not sure if the firmware support this printer.

PT100 sensor support is coming to RepRapFirmware, supporting MAX31865 boards with a digital interface to the Duet, such as [www.ebay.co.uk] and [www.ebay.com]. I have one on the desk in front of me.

@dc42 I Can do a duet test as Well if you send me one. It's going to be a test aimed at the "normal" user with focus on visible obvious differences in quality. Noise. Measured heat etc.
There will be talks about different requirements for cabling and connectors as well.
Not going to very technical, but aimed at the average normal person who might consider building a printer or upgrading controller.
I'm in no way affiliated with or profit otherwise from any products mentioned here. (Just to make sure it's not taken as such)

I'm not involved with manufacture or sales of the Duet, I just maintain a firmware fork for it. So the only Duet 0.8.5 I have is the one in my delta printer. Try Think3DPrint3D, they may be willing to lend you one.

Do you think it would be possible to use the touchscreen I linked? Would remove one of my biggest issues
