Replicape or Aakar?

Replicape or Aakar?

Previously I owned the 4PI-board from kliment, but one stepper-driver broke and it was irreplaceable.
So now I want to buy a new controller-board for my reprap and came across two boards:
- Replicape (http://www.thing-printer.com/product/replicape/)
- Aakar board(http://reprap.org/wiki/Aakar_Motherboard#Aakar_Brainboard_V2)

How does the Aakar board compare to the Replicape and the 4PI?

The specs are similar but in terms of oversight and stability the replicape seems a perfect match between the beaglebone and its reprap-controlling cape the replicape..
But, since my previous board broke I would like to be able to repair it, the Aakar board seems perfect in that sense.

So which board would be better? The Aakar board or the Replicape?

Any advice would be great!
