Steppers only go forwards

I am having a serious problem with my Gen 3 electronics.

All my steppers will only drive forwards when jogged in the RepRap host.
When I reverse the direction and jog a stepper driver backwards (any number above zero), nothing happens.

I have tested the Dir pin, and it is being held low to indicate backwards movement, and high when driven forwards.
I have also used simple G-Code that just drives only the steppers forwards and backwards, the effect is that they are only going forwards, no backwards movement

I have also tried updating the firmware, same thing happens.
I'm using RepRap host 20090804 with Java 1.5.21


I have absolutely no clue why this is happening, and I could use some help please figuring this out.

The firmware must think the end stops are triggered. It won't move backwards if it thinks it is already at the end.

Have you got end stops attached?

Thanks, thats what I did wrong, no end stops.

I knew it was something so simple.
