Hi all. One of the stepper motor driver that I received is not working on my machine. My X axis stepper motor driver gets very hot when I plug it in to my power supply and does not actuate the X stepper motor when asked to. Is there a common problem here that I am running in to or is my driver most likely broken?

sounds like it's feeding 12v into one of the windings. check for shorts on the board before calling it broken.

Particularly the voltage regulator and microcontroller heat up immensely. I don't see any shorts with my naked eye.
