This sucks so much. I've been waiting for weeks for those, just wanted to wait if the extruder controller got in as well.
Now I guess the next batch will be in around february...

What happened? Did makerbot only have five set of electronics for sale? I had been waiting very patiently (for me at least) to pickup the electronics pack.

Is the next date for the 3G Electronics to be in stock Feb 2010?

According to their twitter page they where as shocked as you where, they thought it would last a week at least (meaning there was way for than 5 total kits). They plan to massively up their order size the next go round.

They have said in the past they have a 6 week lead time on electronics orders, and they where going to order Monday. That means Jan 25 at the earliest.

Hold on a bit, Zach is nearing finishing up the 4th gen electronics, which I suspect will go on sale early to February next year, depending if he gets the mobo and extruder board done.

I dunno what their plans are for getting more kits in, just thought I might give you all fair warning that they may no longer stock the older kits anymore.

What are the gen4 electronics like? Motherboard v2.0? Stepper controller V3.0? Extruder Controller v3.0? any ideas?

I remember checking the stocks a few hours after they got in and there were 25 kits.

For now I hurried and ordered two sets of bare PCBs, because the stepper controller pcbs are already low in stock as well.
It was a pain to get the components together, and after all it's not even cheaper than the complete kit, but there is no way I'm waiting another 6+ weeks.
Had to order a new soldering kit as well, but I'd need that anyway

PS: I asked if they would get the DIY Kits again, and they said they wouldn't so those anymore.

Nope, it apparently doesn't. I never get emails from them when things get back in stock, despite making sure I had clicked "Sign up to get notified when this product is back in stock".

Yey... Ordered and another step on the way to having a Mendal in Sydney.

After ordering makerbot, u have to order the cable
and the software&hw interface sucks so much, software keeps crashing.
It's a piece of junk
