Printrboard Power connection fried

So I finally get my Prusa-mendel V2 calibrated and printing nice and the power connector on
my Printrboard fried. (See pictures).

So my whole board would randomly reset and halt mid print when the power connector
vibrated.

Obviously the combination of the extruder and heat bed was drawing too much current for
the ATX connector on the board.

I have read in the forums several approaches to getting around this including wiring stuff direct to
the MOSFETs, and going to screw terminals.

My current thought is to replace the ATX connector with wires soldered to the board and
terminated with min-Anderson power pole connectors (http://www.powerwerx.com/anderson-powerpoles/powerpole-sets/30-amp-red-black-anderson-powerpole-sets.html)

I would use 14 gauge wire and the connectors are rated for 30 amps. I would replace the ATX connector on my power supply with
the equivalent Andersons so I would have a quick disconnect.

Before I go through and potentially ruin my board I thought I would ask the community their thoughts.

I am not that could at fine soldering so I tend to want to avoid messing with the electronics directly.
