GEN7 1.4,teacup, opto endstop not working
August 16, 2012 07:42AM
Hi all. I am new to this and just got everything assembled. So far all have been working fine but i cant get the end stops working.
I am running with GEN 7 1.4 with teacup firmware and the Gen 7 end stop 1.3.1.
When i check the readout in Arduino with the M200 command it triggers as it is supposed to. 0 untriggered nothing breaking the light and 1 when triggered light broken.

But when i run/jog the motors for test in my host ReplicatorG and break the light nothing happens, the motor just continues. Isn't it supposed to stop??

Thanks in advance.

Teacup only pays attention to the endstops while homing. During regular moves the endstop should not be triggered at all if the machine is working properly, and some users have noisy endstops which may appear to trigger during the print which would ruin it.

I just found the "Teacup wiki" and read through it, and it clearly states what you are saying.

Thanks for your reply.

I was just wondering, why are there only 3 endstops? Why not 6?? Is it possible to connect 6 endstops to the GEN7 board?

Endstops #4 to #6 were removed from Gen7 with the v1.4 release.
