X-Axis Drifing - After Z Move

So I am completely stumped; My printer had been printing perfectly before I left it alone for a few weeks. I came back, and now I get the X axis drifting perfectly every print. I can print the single walled calibration piece just fine. However, when printing the 20mm block, on the second layer, after the perimeter moves, the motor locks up before going into the fill. I replaced the connector, tried 2 different stepper drivers and re-wrapped my stepper wires to try to isolate noise a bit better. The belt is tight and the pulley is not slipping, and the drifting is perfectly the same length every time (~1cm).

It should be noted that my Z-axis PLA Bushings are pretty loose, getting a good deal of wobble. I'd love to print replacements...but that isn't happening right now. thumbs down

I'm completely stumped, any ideas or advice is welcome!

EDIT: Also tried a new profile and replaced the firmware...

clean and re-oil your smooth bars.

Well damn, I feel stupid. Just did this, managed to get 4 layers done before the x-axis simply started to pause intermittently. Hopefully debugging that issue is a bit more straight forward.

Thanks!

How hot do your stepper motors and stepper drivers get?

Do you have heat-sinks on the stepper drivers?
