Hi
I am building a new 3D printer and I have dual extruders Chamira from E3D as it is an D-Bot I have 2 z axis steppers.
What board is the best to use?
MKS Basedo it have 2 z stepper ports?
Ramps has 2 Z axsis ports but can them be used for 2 steppers?

I use a RUMBA for dual x and two extruders

Hi
Thanks.
So you take one of the E ports for the second z stepper?
Do you know if a Touch screen can be connected to this board?
What stepper drivers do you use?
Thanks

It depends on whether you want to be able to drive the two Z motors independently. If you drive them from the same driver, then a 5-driver board will suffice. However, they will sometimes get out of sync when the motors are powered off and on again, then you will need to turn one of them by hand to get the bed level again.

The main advantage of using two separate drivers for the Z motors is that some firmwares (RepRapFirmware and I am told also Repetier) can use a Z probe to level the bed by driving the two (or more) Z motors independently. But for this and 2 extruders you would need a 6-driver board.

The only 8-bit board I know of that supports 6 drivers natively is Rumba. Amongst 32-bit boards, only RADDS. The Duets that I am associated with have only 5 drivers on board, but you can add up to 7 more externally. Duets support the PanelDue touch screens.

Disclosure: I design Duet electronics and work on RepRapFirmware, [duet3d.com].

I use TMC drivers and afaik only the standard 4 line and the RRD Full Graphic display can be used with the RUMBA. Alternatively you might look into using Octoprint with a RasPi and a touchscreen to control the RUMBA.
