I have a Monoprice IIIp that the Melzi board fried the connector on the bed. Replaces with the Mega 2560 and Ramps 1.4 and have it configured partially.
When I print the Y axis shifts as the print continues to the upper layers of the object. Eventually the extruder gets so far out of sync that it strings the filament out. Very ugly.
I suspect there are some settings in the Melzi that I have not transferred to the new board in the Marlin firmware. It seems to be primarily in the Y direction. I've attached a picture of the last attempt at printing...
Here are the settings for movement:
DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT { 80, 80, 100, 96 }
DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE { 200, 200, 2, 50 }
DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION { 1000, 1000, 100, 1000 }
DEFAULT_ACCELERATION 1000 (X,Y,Z,E)
DEFAULT_RETRACT_ACCELERATION 1000 (E retract)
DEFAULT_TRAVEL_ACCELERATION 100 (X,Y,Z)
DEFAULT_XJERK 20.0
DEFAULT_YJERK 20.0
DEFAULT_ZJERK 0.3
DEFAULT_EJERK 5.0
Can someone give me some idea of what needs to be done to correct this issue.
Please advise and thanks...
