HI Guys

What is you experience with the speed for PLA VS. ABS What I mean is I have a sample I have made in PLA. it really looks good.
then I would like to do the same sample in ABS. but it did not went that well :-)

speed is the same on both.

For PLA: heatbed 60°C. extruder 205°C.

For ABS: heatbed 115°C extruder 231°C

my problem with the ABS is that it does not stick that well. and it is not totally closed in the top even that I have placed the toplayer as 4 and infilling is 100%

Hope you can help.

Greetings

Stig

I print abs at about half the speed of pla, 30 vs 60.

PETG is an excellent alternative to ABS that doesn't warp and has good adhesion:

I find once I have a good layer adhesion to the print bed, print speed is irrelevant. I set my printing speed based on the geometry of the print, more than I do on the material used.

However, on small items a minimal layer time around 10-15 seconds is needed. PLA with good cooling does not.
