Can anybody identify this connector?
It is part of the Replikeo hotend and fan connection.

Thanks in advance.

Plan B is always to be somebody else.

And this leads us to a crimp tool. Gulp!
Crimp tool
And the extraction tool
but I got the male and female connectors and 30 pins for each as samples.
Anybody know a decent crimp tool alternative?

Thanks in advance.

Any crimpers will work just fine. The pair I have is very similar to these and I have been using them successfully for years. I'm sure that there are plenty of youtube videos that will show you how to do it correctly. Search for a "d-sub crimping tool" and you'll find a bunch for around $10. As far as the extraction tool is concerned, an X-acto knife is all you will ever need. The holding tabs on the connectors are obvious, it's just a matter of pushing them in to release the terminals.

I did a magnified view of one of the pinned wires and saw that it was not crimped but the wire was just laid in the groove and soldered.
This makes for a reusable connection.
