Is the BOM down?

Zach--or whoever--,

I tried to get to the BOM generator recently and all I got back was a message from my browser saying the server could not be found. Not helpful. I'm trying to order all my electronic parts this weekend for my McWire RepStrap but I can't now. Help!

Probably not as much help as you would like but i printed the list to PDF last month so would expect it to be current but not so convenient.

Zach,

Is this right? I just did a parts listing for the set of pcbs being sold at the RRRF store. I took the BOM to mouser and imported it and got back that it would cost over $200! What is that? I thought it would cost much less. Am I just seeing things, did I do something wrong or should I just learn to live with the high cost of cutting edge tech?

More specific information:

My BOM:

The number of each board I ordered:

Universal Controller v1.2 x 5
Extruder Controller v1.2 x 1
PowerComms Board v1.2 x 1
Opto Endstop v1.0 x 6
Stepper Tester v1.0 x 2

I'm not sure what I did. I think I may have ordered parts for one too man controller boards (the extruder is just a universal controller, no?) but i don't think that accounts for the huge price. I would like to get this taken care of sometime soon so I can begin soldering things.

Thanks for all your help up to this and sorry if this is a dumb question/overlooked issue.

Zach,

uh, I think I may have entered things in twice!

Sorry about that. I just tried it again--hurray for perceverance and manic "help-me!" mode--and it came out to $89.88. That sounds a lot better. I also verified that I did not enter anything in twice. Also just got 5 Uiversal Controllers and not an Extruder Controller. That works, I guess.

Sorry

I think the bom for the extruder board is missing the 10nf cap.

hey,

for v1 of the boards, you need:

3 x stepper controllers
2 x extruder controllers
1 x powercomms 1.2
6 x opto endstop (although technically you only need 3...)
2 x stepper tester

the easiest way however, it so generate a part list for the main 'darwin' object...

it includes all of the boards above, and the thermistors for the extruder as well. i just did it, and the total came to $94.30 which is pretty accurate.

hope this helps!
