Endstops

Would like to add mechanical endstops to printer design.

Printer board has three, three pin, terminals.

How do I contol both directions for each axis with only three switches?

Can someone provide a source for the switches with wiring and connectors included?

Thanks

It's usual to have endstop switches at one of of each axis only. The switches are more correctly called homing switches, because their primary function is to establish a known position for the print head during the homing process. Once the printer has been homed, the firmware can prevent the head from moving beyond the physical limits.

*IF* the printer does not lose home, skip steps, bind, etc. Then dual endstops could be useful.
