hi everybody, I have a kossel mini 3d printer and I want to print a mini version of my daughter school companions

they are only 5 y.o. so I need a way to "scan" them very fast and in a simple way. any suggestions? I tried 123d, but it's hard as hell to make a full scan of everyone of them, they simply cannot stand still for more than 10-15 seconds

then I want to print the model 8inch tall

Try Skanect with a Kinect. I've had good success with scanning people with that. Both will set you back about 130dollars. Second hand kinect and Skanect is around 100 dollars for a license.
