Trouble shooting, plugged in new Arduino and Ramps 1.4 board Reading Temps 200+ and no movement along any axis

Posted by dwbrown14
Hello,

Trying to get my reprap up and running. Last week I was trying to take tapper out of the y axis and I turned up the pot to much and fried my arduino board. I have replaced the arduino board and ramps 1.4 board and plugged everything back into the required locations. I was able to successfully download the firmware, and using mattercontrol I am able to connect to the printer, however I am reading temps of 200 plus and I have no movement along any axis. I have visually inspected the board and not found any shorts. Does anyone have any advice?

My replacement board was purchased from Amazon at [www.amazon.com]
Hmmm, sounds very odd!

With the temp at 200*C+ it would lead me to believe that you either have the wrong thermistor selected in the firmware, or the thermistor has failed and needs to be replaced.

Do you know what Thermistor you have and do you have a multimeter?

Thanks
