Brand suggestions for servomotors

Dear All,

I'm very new to the hobby servo market and I would like to hear about your opinions about some good, affordable servo brands. I'm thinking about a robotics application where being drop packet digital bus communication instead of the regular PWM is a huge plus. What brand would you recommend, or what brand would you recommend to stay away from? For example, HiTec and Futaba are two brands that I've seen around a lot. However, I've never used them.

oh, I realise you are talking about servos and not steppers.
without knowing much about servos, I know there are plastic gear ones and metal gear ones.
metal is better, and also look at info about torque, because they aren't all built the same.
