MK2/3 heat bed - SMD thermistor on LED SMD solder pads ?

Hello

if got this Mk3 alu heat bed (dual power).
Can I use a SMD thermistor on those LED SMD pads instead of having a through hole thermistor glued to the middle of the bed ?
Does this work or are the tracers just not layed out for getting the temperature ?

Those traces are directly connected to the 12 or 24v supply.
So no you cant use them for the thermister.
You want the thermistor poking through the hole in the middle so it can come into contact with what you are putting on top of the heated bed as your build plate.

By the way, those supply wires for the heated bed look a bit under rated for the power needed by ghd heated bed.

you are right about the wires. I have already swept them for 1.75m² wires (from old Iron). The ones in the picture were 0.75mm². Waaay to thin.
