Why nobody suggested him this:
or particularly this
[printrbot.com]
??

OK, Printerbot Jr is for 399, not 300, but it's a complete solution, with no slavaging or hand-manufacturing.

399 for a complete setup would have been nice. I just bought the electronics kit with a heated bed though.

Never suggest that design on anyone as I have seen it in action and it has a lot of design issues because it was made to be cost effective. Bring that jr up, or printrbot at all, and the irc channel will swarm on you with why it is so awful. I loved how it looked on the youtube video and the design seemed to be of one I would like but the wobble in it is absolutely horrible and many people get disgusted by it. I always wondered if that design could be used but some way to help the wobble and flex?

I'm not going to defend Brook's designs, but just one though. It costs 399$ + shipping? Can't you excuse some minor defects for such price?

Look at this.
[shop.seemecnc.com]

Don't know how reliable these guys, but this may be practical solution for you.

As I said I like the design but wonder if it can be stabilized?

John is one hell of a guy and he is trust worthy. Fact is he logs on each evening, and days most times, to irc and you may ask him whatever you wish. As I said he is really nice and does try to help the community.

Also, does anyone know of any good electronics tutorials of how I would set up the electronics for when I get the bed, electronics set, plastic fasteners and metal rods together?

I am going to be building a Prusa with this, and my friend said he is willing to print plastic connectors for me if I get him a roll of ABS.

I'm not really an electronics person. I'm a computer science student but I actually haven't messed with any hardware except for installing the odd harddrive or memory stick every now and then.
