glue pla

hi all,
was a bit confused from reading posts how successfully i could glue pla so i did some gluing and here are the result for any interested parties:
selleys fix n go superglue:
glued two flat (bed side) pieces together - very strong join - cannot force apart
selleys all plastics & toy glue
same as above
selleys araldite
two flat sirface - good bond - failed when i forced it and glue peeled off smooth surfaces - would have been ok if not forced
two rough surfaces ie. top layer - good bond - failed when i forced it - would have been ok if not forced

price in AUD
selleys glue plastic $4.80/3ml $1.60/ml
selecy fix n go supaglue $2.59/3ml $0.86/ml
selley araldite $10.29/24ml $0.42/ml

so araldite is pretty good and cheap and would work best i think if any sort of gap between surfaces
otherwise superglue was rock hard join

now want to glue the PLA to mild steel - any suggestions, predictions, bets ???

Superglue sticks well to steel, I suspect that'll work well. When I want to glue things together I often add a number of small holes to the surface to be glued to allow araldite to grip better - if you get the glue into the holes and use good araldite it makes a crazy strong bond.
