Thanks

My 300x300 mk2a is 2mm and its resistance is 1.6ohms. I am in the process of replacing it with a 6mm MIC6 tool plate with a 24v silicone pad.

Same here. I've had enough of the .15mm bow in my glass bed.

If you're replacing bed plates with MIC6, you might find this useful. It shows how I converted a glass bed (broken!) on a Taz to MIC6 and mounted it on 3 leveling screws instead of 4.

If you really want to hog-wild, here's the bed design in UMMD, my latest printer. It uses a kinematic mount that allows the bed to expand without creating any bending forces.

I like PEI for the print surface- 30 mils (about 0.7 mm) is enough for it to be almost indestructible.
