Openscad - threads for 2 liter pop bottles

Does anyone know how to make threads that fit 2 liter pop bottles for use in Openscad?

I want to make an object that I can screw a 2 liter pop bottle into, so I'm looking to make the female threads.

I'm also trying to figure out how to do the same thing with standard garden hose threads. Is it possible to do that in Openscad?

Thanks,
Jon

I haven't tried it, but you can take a look at this:

Hope that helps.

Thanks Pete,

I think this might do it. I didn't know that there was a threads library until yesterday, and then I couldn't get it to work for me. I did do a search of thingyverse last night, and I got some pop bottle rockets that used the library to make these threads, but none of the scad files they included worked. This one, fortunately does, so I should be able to use it.

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Just curious ..... are you using the 2 liter pop bottles for some gardening? I heard about this hydroponic window farm and was thinking of trying to build one. They say they're "open-source" so we'll see if they are willing to anti up any of the cad files.

Best of luck,

Mike A.
