I noticed an interesting article about big proponent of the hackerspace and maker movement brewing up his own conductive ink. It is basically a solution that anneals at about 90 degrees C and leaves behind silver. It's not exactly the most kid friendly stuff, but definitely worth a look. He actually did all the work on this stuff in a hackerspace.
